These filters are designed for “temporary” or short periods of operation, such as during commissioning and initial start-up periods of new or refurbished process lines. Filters provide the simplest and most effective means of protection to treat pipeline systems for the removal and retention of damaging and harmful contamination such as debris, chips, scale, fibers, canning, rags, welding electrodes, rust, etc. accidentally or unavoidably present in the system.
After a nominal period of operation, they are generally replaced by permanent filtration of finer retention such as that offered by type Y filters.

The sizes of our filter elements range from 1/2″NB (15mm) to 48″NB (1200mm) with pressure designs up to 600LB standard and specials up to 2500LB.
Regarding the flange faces, we adapt to all requests: standard flanges (according to ASME B16.5, EN1092 standards, type RF or RTJ). Many options can be added: handles, marking, handling lugs, fixing for lifting ring, reinforcements…
Materials used range from carbon steel with various grades of stainless steel (304,304L, 316, 316L) and exotic high performance materials such as Duplex/ Super Duplex, Monel, Inconel, glass fiber reinforced plastics ( GRP).
We can go from coarse filtration in perforated sheet metal for temporary filters to fine filtration (up to 20µm) using wire mesh (reps, square mesh or sintered).
